Stewart Alsop

Stewart Alsop is a General Partner at Alsop Louie Partners in San Francisco, California, where he leads seed and Series A investments in artificial intelligence, robotics, and deep technology companies. In June 2024, his venture capital firm raised $250 million for its fourth fund to back early-stage frontier technology startups. Before founding his current investment firm, he served as a General Partner at New Enterprise Associates and built a career in technology journalism as an editor for InfoWorld and a columnist for Fortune Magazine. His active venture portfolio encompasses more than twenty companies and includes notable exits such as the 2014 initial public offering of OpenTable. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Occidental College, Alsop leverages his dual background in media and finance to identify and fund early-stage enterprise software and robotics ventures.
