Steven Welch

Steven Welch is an investor and the Head of Investor Relations at DreamIt Ventures, who is currently based in Austin, Texas. Leveraging over four decades of capital formation experience across private equity and venture capital, he originally cofounded the DreamIt Ventures business accelerator model following the successful sale of his previous enterprise, Mitos. Beyond his primary institutional investment roles, he launched the educational application store KinderTown in 2011 and was selected as an Eisenhower Fellow in 2009 to research global economic development. Welch also authored the 2010 publication We Are All Born Entrepreneurs and established Shark Skin Capital to direct late stage scaling investments into the healthcare and consumer markets. His professional background combines extensive entrepreneurial operations with a current focus on driving capital formation to support transformative early stage companies actively scaling their commercial revenues.
