Steven Segawa

Steven Segawa is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Wedge, an artificial intelligence data infrastructure platform based in Fullerton, California. He established the two-person healthcare technology startup alongside co-founder Devraj Gopal in early 2025, subsequently securing participation in the Y Combinator Summer 2025 accelerator batch. Before launching Wedge, Segawa served as a Lead Machine Learning Data Scientist at NVIDIA, where he directed data science initiatives focused on fine-tuning large language models and constructing enterprise machine learning systems. His earlier technical career includes specialized engineering and data science positions at hardware and automotive companies including Rivian and Intel, following the completion of his master's degree in computer science at UC Berkeley. Segawa currently focuses on developing scalable enterprise data infrastructure that enables large hospital networks to securely discover, implement, and monitor healthcare artificial intelligence agents.
