Steve Kishi

Steve Kishi is a Managing Director at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, where he focuses on software industry investments. Over a 20-year career, he has divided his time between venture capital and executive operational roles, contributing to major portfolio exits including Five9's initial public offering and acquisitions by Microsoft, Dell, and Oracle. Previously, Kishi served as Vice President of Product Management at Altiscale before its acquisition by SAP, and held product leadership positions at VMware overseeing the Lab Manager and vCloud Director platforms. His earlier operational experience includes executive positions at Akimbi Systems and Extensity, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from MIT and an MBA from UC Berkeley. Kishi currently leverages his dual background as an operator and investor to guide enterprise software and cloud technology startups toward strategic growth and acquisition.
