Steven Chung

Steven Chung is a Vice-President on the Growth Team at Inovia Capital, based in Montreal, Canada. Before joining the venture capital firm in July 2021, he accumulated over five years of capital markets experience, working in investment banking at RBC and equity research at Scotiabank. During his tenure at RBC, Chung advised on mergers, acquisitions, and financing transactions specifically within the software and technology sectors. In his current capacity, he evaluates growth-stage technology investments and supports portfolio companies such as AppDirect, Hopper, BenchSci, and Top Hat. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University and initially began his professional career as a research and development project manager at a local cleantech startup. Chung currently leverages his technical engineering foundation and extensive financial services expertise to evaluate and scale emerging software enterprises.
