Steve Zheng

Steve Zheng is the cofounder and technical lead of Alpha Vantage, a financial market data provider based in Boston, Massachusetts. As a computer scientist trained at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he engineered the company's core application programming interface from scratch after initially developing the enterprise within the Harvard Business School startup ecosystem alongside cofounder Olivier Porté. Since its launch in 2017, Zheng has scaled the platform's technical architecture to process billions of daily market data requests for software developers, researchers, and institutional clients worldwide. Under his technical direction, the enterprise has secured institutional funding from startup accelerator Y Combinator, leading venture capital firms, and prominent angel investors associated with the PayPal Mafia. Zheng's current focus centers on advancing the company's backend data infrastructure to power advanced financial applications and artificial intelligence agents across the global market ecosystem.
