Steve Liu

Steve Liu is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Deed, an emerging financial technology company. Prior to his current venture, he accumulated over 17 years of professional experience in investment banking and institutional trading operations at major financial institutions, including Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, and Jefferies. During his extended tenure across these global firms, Liu focused on building financial products and entering new markets, ultimately generating more than $120 million in direct revenue. Following the 2008 global financial crisis, he transitioned into entrepreneurship by establishing and leading an independent boutique investment bank. He holds a Master of Science in Management Science and Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stanford University. Liu's professional background reflects a sustained focus on capital markets, institutional financial product development, and the intersection of traditional finance with modern technology.
