Steve Horowitz is a Partner at Alpha Edison, an investment firm partnering with entrepreneurs to build category-creating companies. After graduating from the University of Michigan, he began his career developing Macintosh products at Apple before joining Be Incorporated and holding leadership roles at Microsoft. He subsequently led the Android engineering team at Google, introducing the mobile operating system alongside Sergey Brin in 2008, and later served as Senior Vice President of Software Engineering following the Motorola Mobility acquisition. Horowitz also served as Chief Technology Officer at Coupons, where he remains a board member for Quotient Technology, and worked as Vice President of Technology at Snap in 2015. Drawing on over three decades of product experience, his current focus centers on early-stage technology startups leveraging augmented reality, computer vision, and mobile platforms to unlock new markets.
