Steve Foster

Steve Foster is a Venture Partner at Piva Ventures, which is backed by Petronas, and 40 North Ventures, as well as the Managing Director of SF Advisors. With over 35 years of combined experience across the technology and energy sectors, he previously served as Managing Partner at ClearSky Power and Technology Fund, where he oversaw a $275 million investment vehicle. His earlier career includes business development roles at Hewlett Packard and 3Com, followed by partnership positions at Crosspoint Venture Partners and TPG, where he helped establish their venture capital and growth equity funds. Foster, a Santa Clara University graduate, has backed several notable companies that achieved significant public offerings or acquisitions, including FusionIO, Optium, and Juniper Networks. He currently focuses his efforts on early-stage startup investments and scaling operations within the energy technology and information technology markets.
