Steve Abbott

Steve Abbott is a Partner at Sapphire Ventures based in Austin, Texas, where he manages the firm's capital markets activities and focuses on software application investments. Before joining Sapphire, he spent over a decade in technology investment banking, leading more than 100 financings and mergers and acquisitions transactions across the technology sector. His prior roles include serving as a Managing Director at Jefferies from 2010 to 2014, Global Head of Semiconductor and Electronics Banking at UBS, and a strategy consultant at Bain and Company. Abbott holds joint degrees from Stanford Graduate School of Business and Stanford Law School, and he previously served as a founding partner of the early-stage technology fund Sapphire Sport. His current focus centers on scaling vertical and horizontal software applications while leveraging his extensive background in corporate finance and strategic advisory.
