Stephen Cohodes

Stephen Cohodes is a General Partner at 8VC based in San Francisco, California, where he leads early-stage investments in enterprise software and frontier technology. Since joining the firm in 2022, he helps manage over $10 billion in assets under management across a portfolio of more than 100 companies. His investment track record includes backing Vanta, Netskope, and Figma, which Adobe acquired for $20 billion, alongside leading a $100 million Series B round for Replicate in March 2025. Prior to his current position, Cohodes served as a Managing Director at New Enterprise Associates and held earlier financial roles at Battery Ventures and Goldman Sachs. He holds an MBA in finance from Columbia Business School and a BA from Yale University, underpinning his current focus on funding founders across the artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and developer tools sectors.
