Stephen Cohen

Stephen Cohen is the Managing Partner at Pulse Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. Before establishing his current fund, he served as a General Partner at Lightbank from 2012 to 2018, following earlier product operations and management consulting roles at Groupon and Bain and Company. Throughout his venture capital career, Cohen has managed over $150 million in assets across multiple funds and secured several ten-fold returns, including the 2022 acquisition of WalletHub. His recent transaction activity includes leading a $12 million Series A investment round in the artificial intelligence payroll startup PayForge in March 2026, alongside joining the board of directors at Current. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School, Cohen currently focuses his investment strategy on scaling early-stage financial technology, payments, and enterprise software companies.
