Stephen Bloch

Stephen Bloch is a General Partner at Canaan Partners based on the East Coast, where he directs healthcare technology and life sciences investments. Before entering venture capital in 2002, he spent six years as the founder and CEO of Radiology Management Sciences, pioneering radiology benefits management. His clinical training includes a medical degree from the University of Rochester, alongside residencies at Massachusetts General Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital. At Canaan, his portfolio has yielded multiple public offerings and acquisitions, including Amicus Therapeutics and Advanced BioHealing, which was acquired by Shire. He also backed Truveris, a platform that generated one billion six hundred million dollars in drug plan cost savings for the State of New Jersey. Bloch leverages his dual expertise as a physician and entrepreneur to fund startups focused on improving healthcare delivery efficiency and advancing medical therapeutics.
