Stephanie Nieman

Stephanie Nieman is a Managing Director at Leeds Illuminate, where she leads investments in the education sector. She brings over 15 years of professional experience in growth equity, impact investing, and capital markets to her current position. Prior to this role, Nieman spent eight years as a Principal at SJF Ventures, a firm with a portfolio of over 90 ventures, and served as a Director at B Lab developing impact measurement standards. Her earlier career includes corporate sales and business development at Pearson Education and institutional equity sales at Lehman Brothers. She holds an MBA from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNC Chapel Hill. Nieman currently focuses her efforts on backing high-growth companies that generate positive social outcomes across the education, health, and workforce development sectors.
