Stefan Steiner

Stefan Steiner is the Managing Partner at 9am.works, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Zurich, Switzerland. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the ZHAW School of Management and Law and previously operated as a serial entrepreneur within the fintech and software sectors. Through his current firm, Steiner has backed more than 50 pre-seed and seed startups, achieving liquidity events such as the 2022 acquisition of portfolio company Lili by Square. In March 2025, he expanded his investment scope by launching the €10 million 9am.works Climate Fund to target sustainability ventures, followed by a January 2026 investment in the AI platform Knab. Drawing on his experience with entities like Venture Kick, Steiner currently focuses on providing hands-on advisory and acceleration capital to European founders building scalable fintech, SaaS, and climate technology platforms.
