Stefan Seltz-Axmacher

Stefan Seltz-Axmacher is the Managing Partner at Lexzau Ventures, currently operating out of Corvallis, Oregon. He previously co-founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of Agility Robotics from 2015 to 2023, where he led the development of the Digit humanoid robot. During his tenure, he secured more than $180 million in funding, including a $150 million Series B round in 2022 that valued the enterprise at over $1 billion, and established commercial pilot deployments with Amazon. Prior to his executive role at Agility Robotics, he gained technical experience at Everyday Robots, a spinout of Alphabet X, after studying computer science and robotics at Oregon State University. His current focus centers on investing in early-stage robotics startups that develop scalable, manufacturable hardware and practical artificial intelligence solutions for warehouse logistics and industrial automation.
