Stan Reiss is a General Partner at Khosla Ventures based in Menlo Park, California. Before joining the firm in 2015, he spent fourteen years as a Managing Director at DFJ and previously served as the founder and CEO of Xfoundries. Over his venture capital career, he has directed more than 50 investments, backing hardware and software startups such as Nest Labs, which Google acquired for $3.2 billion in 2014, and Brightcove, which completed its initial public offering in 2012. Recently, he led Khosla Ventures' participation in a $675 million funding round for the humanoid robotics company Figure AI in 2024. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School alongside engineering degrees from MIT and Cornell University. Reiss currently focuses his investment strategy on early-stage deep tech, hardware, robotics, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence technologies.
