Spencer Foust

Spencer Foust is a Managing Director at Sozo Ventures based in Redwood City, California. Since joining the venture capital firm in June 2016, he has deployed more than $150 million across early-stage to pre-IPO investments, earning recognition on the 2020 Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Before entering the technology investment industry, he worked at Apple and served on the B61 Nuclear Weapon program at Sandia National Labs, where he became the youngest individual to receive a Top Secret "Q" clearance. He holds a Master of Science in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science with honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas in 2014. Originally from Iowa, Foust currently focuses on guiding United States technology startups through international expansion while managing venture investments across multiple funding stages.
