Sophie Ishiwari

Sophie Ishiwari is currently an Associate at Edge Case Capital Partners, an investment firm focused on early-stage technology ventures in the United States. She previously co-founded Sonura, a sustainable technology startup, alongside four fellow 2023 graduates from the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science: Gabriella Daltoso, Gabriela Cano, Caroline Amanda Magro, and Tifara Eliana Boyce. Prior to transitioning into her current venture capital role, Ishiwari held various professional positions at NTX Services, the neurotechnology ecosystem builder BrainMind, and the life sciences advisory firm Torreya. Her technical engineering background includes being officially listed as an inventor on multiple United States patents specifically related to edge device management systems and infrastructure. Ishiwari currently focuses her professional efforts on identifying, evaluating, and supporting early-stage investments across the blockchain, Web3, and emerging technology sectors.
