Somrat Niyogi

Somrat Niyogi is the Managing Partner at Recall Capital, a growth-stage investment firm based in San Francisco, California. Since joining the firm in March 2023, he has directed $10 million to $50 million investments in enterprise software, recently leading a $45 million Series B funding round for Drata in June 2024. Previously, Niyogi served as a General Partner at Battery Ventures, managing over $2 billion in assets across a 20-company portfolio that generated three IPOs and five acquisitions exceeding $500 million. His earlier career includes investment roles at Emergence Capital and operating experience as the founder and chief technology officer of a supply chain software startup, following a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UC Berkeley. Today, his primary focus centers on backing proven founders and scaling growth-stage enterprise SaaS, cybersecurity, and financial technology companies.
