Simon Sokol

Simon Sokol is a Canada-based Vice President at Relay Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2008 that is currently investing from Fund V. In his current role, he focuses on pre-seed and seed investments at the intersection of culture, sports, and technology. Sokol actively manages portfolio companies, serving as a Board Director for Train Fitness and holding Board Observer seats at startups including Mave, Alt Sports Data, Woveo, and HomeTeam Live. Before transitioning to venture capital, he worked as an Investment Banker at Citi, where he executed cross-border mergers and acquisitions for major institutional clients such as CPPIB and Brookfield. He holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School in Canada. His professional background combines foundational financial advisory experience with a targeted focus on scaling early-stage culture and technology platforms.
