Simon Neefjes

Simon Neefjes is a Venture Partner at Slingshot Ventures based in Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands. Before transitioning to venture capital, he held various product management and growth roles at technology firms and co-founded WeAreBold, a startup that was subsequently acquired by Dept Agency. The University of Amsterdam alumnus is an active angel investor who has backed more than 20 early-stage companies, building a portfolio that includes Teamtailor, Carbon Equity, and a February 2025 seed investment in CodeSandbox. He joined Slingshot Ventures in 2023 to provide capital and hands-on guidance to pre-seed and Series A startups across the European ecosystem, recently speaking on industry trends at the May 2024 TNW Conference. Neefjes currently focuses his investments and advisory efforts on founders building scalable business-to-business software, developer tools, financial technology, and climate tech solutions.
