Simon Lancaster

Simon Lancaster is a General Partner at Omni Ventures based in London, United Kingdom, where he leads seed and Series A investments across Europe. Before joining Omni Ventures in January 2023, he spent a decade as a Partner at Balderton Capital, managing over €500 million in capital investments and backing more than 30 companies. His venture capital career, which includes earlier roles at Index Ventures and founding his own technology startups, has resulted in over 20 successful portfolio exits involving notable technology firms like Revolut. The University of Cambridge Computer Science graduate recently led a September 2025 investment in the European market expansion of artificial intelligence startup xAI. Lancaster currently focuses his investment strategy on scaling an active portfolio of early-stage companies operating within the financial technology, enterprise SaaS, and climate tech sectors.
