Simon Blakey

Simon Blakey is a London-based investor at Playfair Capital and the co-founder of Avonmore Developments, a prominent early-stage venture investment firm. Since establishing Avonmore in 2000 alongside his brother Michael Blakey, he has directed early-stage investments into more than 30 technology startups across the United Kingdom market. His historical investment portfolio includes successful enterprise exits such as Commerce Decisions, which was acquired by QinetiQ, and ByBox, a supply chain logistics business that subsequently reached a valuation exceeding 100 million pounds. Before transitioning to early-stage technology investing, he developed his core expertise in corporate finance and strategic management to assist early startup founders with operational scaling and institutional fundraising.
