Simba Deu

Simba Deu is the Managing Partner at The VC Fund, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where he leads global pre-seed and seed-stage investments. Before assuming this role in January 2024, he served as a Partner at 500 Global from 2019 to 2023 and held earlier investment positions at Antler and various Southeast Asian accelerators. He manages a portfolio of over 20 companies across the fintech, SaaS, consumer technology, and climate tech sectors, achieving notable exits including two fintech acquisitions. Deu recently led a $2 million seed round for a MENA-based fintech startup in October 2025 and frequently speaks at industry events such as the Tech in Asia conferences. Holding an MBA from INSEAD, his current focus remains on scaling early-stage technology businesses across emerging markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and India.
