Silvia Mah

Silvia Mah is a founding partner at Ad Astra Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in San Diego, California. She previously founded Stella Labs, an accelerator specifically designed for women-led businesses, and helped establish the San Diego Angel Conference to activate new capital in the regional ecosystem. Mah holds a doctorate in marine biology from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and a Master of Business Administration from the Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego. Over her career in early-stage finance, she has deployed capital into more than one hundred distinct startup companies, focusing primarily on technology, healthcare, and consumer packaged goods enterprises. Her current professional focus centers on providing seed funding and strategic operational support to diverse founding teams operating across the broader Southern California innovation economy.
