Shyam Menon

Shyam Menon is a Partner and Co-founder at Bharat Innovation Fund and Infuse Ventures, operating as a venture capitalist based in India. Trained as a materials scientist with a master's degree in materials engineering, he began his career in 2001 as a research engineer developing nanomaterials for energy startups in the United States. In 2012, he co-founded Infuse Ventures, an early climate technology seed fund backed by prominent global entities including BP and the International Finance Corporation. He subsequently launched Bharat Innovation Fund in 2018 to target pre-Series A and Series A deep technology startups, recently initiating a second fundraise targeting $150 million with a $50 million green shoe option. Additionally serving as Chief Growth Officer at CIIE.CO, Menon maintains a primary investment focus on scaling disruptive deep technology and climate innovations across the Indian market.
