Shuonan Chen

Shuonan Chen is a General Partner at IOVC and the CEO of Shinect, currently based in Silicon Valley, California. Prior to her current venture capital roles, she worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and advisory at PwC. During her tenure at PwC, she contributed to Google’s $12.5 billion acquisition of Motorola and LinkedIn’s $119 million purchase of SlideShare. As an educator and nonprofit leader, Chen serves as a faculty member at UC Berkeley and Singularity University, while managing a community of over 3,000 engineers and founders through Shinect. Her venture capital portfolio features early-stage enterprise and B2B SaaS investments, including notable unicorns such as Instacart, Checkr, Boom, and Grubmarket. Chen leverages her multidisciplinary background in finance, law, and technology to focus on future of work investments and global expansion strategies for emerging startups.
