Shunsuke Wakita

Shunsuke Wakita is a Principal on the Asia Pacific Private Equity team at Bain Capital, based in Tokyo, Japan. Since joining the firm in 2020, he has focused on investments in the consumer, technology, and Web3 sectors, targeting deal sizes ranging from $1 million to $100 million per transaction. Prior to his current role, Wakita worked at The Longreach Group, where he led buyout investments across the Japanese market. He began his career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley, executing mergers and acquisitions advisory as well as equity and debt offerings for financial services clients. He holds both a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws in international law from the University of Tokyo. His professional background centers on executing complex private equity transactions and strategic buyouts across the broader Asia Pacific region.
