Shun Watanabe

Shun Watanabe is a Managing Director in the Portfolio Group at Bain Capital, where he serves as a member of the Asia Pacific Private Equity team. Since joining the firm in 2014, he has focused on portfolio management and operational improvements for various regional investments. Previously, Watanabe worked as a Principal at The Boston Consulting Group in its Tokyo office. During his consulting tenure, he specialized in growth strategy, organizational transformation, and operational reform for the retail sector, following an earlier role as a human resources associate manager at Recruit Holdings. Prior to his professional career, he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Kyoto University. Watanabe currently leverages his extensive consulting and corporate experience to drive strategic growth and operational efficiency across Bain Capital's private equity portfolio in the Asia Pacific market.
