Shuly Galili

Shuly Galili is a Partner and co-founder at UpWest, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Palo Alto, California. Before establishing UpWest, she served as a Managing Partner at Gemini Israel Ventures and helped co-found the precursor to Stanford University's startup accelerator. Under her leadership, UpWest has invested in more than 100 companies and successfully raised a $60 million fourth fund in 2024 to specifically back Israeli founders. Her venture portfolio includes notable technology unicorns and successful market exits such as data analytics platform Sisense and several other prominent software developers. Galili earned undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Business from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her current investment focus centers on bridging the Israeli and United States technology ecosystems through targeted seed-stage funding in enterprise software, cybersecurity, financial technology, and artificial intelligence.
