Shobhan Thakkar

Shobhan Thakkar is the General Counsel and Head of Corporate Development at ACT, Inc., and is based in Texas. He previously co-founded a digital healthcare company focused on electronic records integration, securing over $40 million across Series A, B, and C funding rounds from investors including Battery Ventures, RRE Ventures, and Flybridge Capital Partners. Thakkar also serves as a Board Member at MD Angels and is a Kauffman Fellow who previously raised and managed a seed-stage venture fund. His academic background includes a Juris Doctorate and a Master of Accounting from The Ohio State University, a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and experience serving as an adjunct instructor at the University of Houston Law Center. Thakkar currently focuses on guiding legal strategy, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions for technology and healthcare enterprises.
