Shmil Levy is a private angel investor and former founding partner at Sequoia Capital Israel, based in the Tel Aviv District, Israel. Alongside Haim Sadger, he co-founded the firm's dedicated Israeli investment vehicle following the dot-com bubble, pioneering foreign venture capital involvement in the local high-tech ecosystem. During his tenure, Levy helped raise five funds totaling approximately $1 billion and directed early-stage seed investments into nearly 100 internet, mobile, and technology companies. His investment track record earned him recognition on the Forbes Midas List and included board director positions at enterprise software firms such as Skai and Pontis. Following Sequoia's decision to close its dedicated regional fund in 2016, he transitioned away from institutional venture capital. Levy currently focuses on deploying private capital into early-stage technology startups operating within the Israeli and global markets.
