Shiva Shanker

Shiva Shanker is the Managing Director at Ankur Capital, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Since joining the firm in July 2022, he has overseen early-stage seed and Series A investments across a portfolio of more than 20 companies, recently leading a $15 million Series A funding round for the healthtech startup Dozee in March 2024. Prior to his current position, Shanker served as a Partner at Blume Ventures from 2016 to 2022 and held earlier venture capital investment roles at Matrix Partners India. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and has been involved in notable portfolio exits, including the acquisition of BlackBuck. His current investment focus centers on funding early-stage enterprises within the software-as-a-service, financial technology, and deep technology sectors across the Indian market.
