Shir Halder

Shir Halder is the Co-Founder and Head of Machine Learning at Jarmin, a Y Combinator-backed startup providing 24/7 automated machine learning engineer employees to technology companies. Before launching Jarmin, he conducted machine learning and generative AI research at Apple and worked on advanced computer vision research initiatives for Lockheed Martin. His academic research experience spans several international institutions, including INRIA, Universite Laval, and the Indian Statistical Institute. Halder studied computer science and robotics at Carnegie Mellon University and the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, subsequently publishing multiple papers across four major computer vision conferences, including ICCV, ACCV, IJCV, and a best paper award at CVPR. His career bridges academic computer vision research and applied industry solutions, with a current focus on developing generative AI tools that automate complex engineering workflows for modern software companies.
