Shilpa Nayyar

Shilpa Nayyar is a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer at FirstMark Capital in New York City. Since 2021, she has directed non-investment activities, including internal operations, investor relations, and limited partner management for a fund whose portfolio includes Airbnb and Pinterest. Prior to FirstMark, Nayyar served as Chief of Staff to Stephen A. Schwarzman, the Chairman, CEO, and Co-Founder of Blackstone. She previously spent thirteen years at Credit Suisse from 2005 to 2018, holding multiple management positions including Head of Strategy for Investment Banking and Capital Markets. Nayyar holds an MBA from the Wharton School and dual bachelor's degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, and served on the board of HealthEC from 2020 to 2025. Her background centers on building organizational infrastructure and driving strategic operations for major financial institutions and technology-focused venture funds.
