Sherman Ting

Sherman Ting is a Partner at 500 Global based in Singapore, where he currently leads early-stage technology investments across the Southeast Asian market. Before assuming his current partnership role in early 2023, he served as a Principal investor at Golden Gate Ventures and held various analytical positions within the venture capital and private equity sectors. Throughout his institutional investment career, Ting has financially backed a portfolio of more than 50 startups and has been directly associated with regional technology companies including Carousell and Sea Group. Continuing his regional capital deployment strategy, he recently directed a $10 million funding round for a Singapore-based artificial intelligence financial technology enterprise in March 2025. The University of British Columbia graduate maintains a primary investment focus on early-stage financial technology, enterprise software, and consumer technology ventures operating within emerging Asian economies.
