Shehryar Hydri

Shehryar Hydri is the Managing Partner at Deosai Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He oversees a portfolio of over 20 companies and manages more than $50 million in assets, focusing on seed and pre-seed investments across fintech, AI, climate tech, and SaaS in South Asia and the MENA region. In March 2025, he led a $3 million seed round for a Lahore-based AI startup, following his January 2025 appointment to the Dubai Future District Council and a December 2024 op-ed publication in TechCrunch. Hydri previously spent over a decade in tech entrepreneurship, co-founding fintech and edtech startups while engaging with Careem, Sarmayacar, and the Pakistan Software Houses Association. Holding a computer science degree from LUMS, his current focus remains on backing emerging market founders who are developing frontier technologies.
