Shayon Sengupta

Shayon Sengupta is a General Partner and Co-Head of Venture at Multicoin Capital, a thesis-driven investment firm managing hedge and venture funds focused on cryptoassets. Promoted to this leadership role alongside Spencer Applebaum, Sengupta has spent over five years at the firm sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments across public and private markets. Prior to joining Multicoin Capital, he worked at Abodewell, a quantitative market maker in residential real estate, where he led operations and development for a proprietary IoT security system. During his tenure at Abodewell, he also held senior positions managing growth operations and risk management. Earlier in his career, Sengupta served on the Strategy and Business Development team at the enterprise software company SAP. His current investment focus centers on cryptocurrency, Layer 1 protocols, smart contract platforms, and developing token economic models.
