Shawn Cheng is currently a Partner at ConsenSys Mesh, an early-stage venture capital firm and blockchain incubator based in New York City. In this investment role, he oversees strategic capital allocation in Web3 and blockchain technology startups, actively managing a diverse portfolio that includes over forty decentralized finance and digital infrastructure companies. Prior to transitioning into the venture capital sector, Cheng spent more than five years at VaynerMedia, where he worked directly alongside founder Gary Vaynerchuk to develop comprehensive digital marketing strategies for major corporate clients. During his extensive tenure in the advertising and agency world, he directed strategic media initiatives that allocated millions of dollars in advertising spend across emerging social media platforms and digital networks.
