Shaw Joseph

Shaw Joseph is a Managing Director at General Atlantic based in New York City, where he oversees global growth equity investments. Before assuming his current position in early 2023, he spent seven years at TPG Growth as a Principal and Partner, following earlier investment roles at Battery Ventures and Goldman Sachs. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Throughout his career, Joseph has managed more than $5 billion in investments, backing prominent technology companies such as Toast and OneTrust, and recently leading a $250 million funding round for the cybersecurity firm Huntress in 2024. His current investment focus centers on providing strategic capital and guidance to growth-stage enterprises operating globally across the software, fintech, and consumer internet sectors.
