Shav Vimalendiran

Shav Vimalendiran is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at SAMMY Labs, an artificial intelligence startup currently participating in the Y Combinator Winter 2025 cohort. In this executive role, he leads the technical development of an AI platform designed to automate post-sales processes, including customer onboarding, support, and training, by mimicking user behaviors. Prior to launching SAMMY Labs, Vimalendiran worked as a quantitative developer at an algorithmic cryptocurrency hedge fund, where he focused on optimizing trading strategies and building advanced risk models. He also previously served as a founding engineer for a multi-asset, multi-exchange cryptocurrency portfolio management and execution platform, building the core technical infrastructure from 0 to 1. His professional background centers on transitioning from complex financial engineering and quantitative cryptocurrency trading to developing applied artificial intelligence solutions for enterprise customer support automation.
