Sharif Vakili

Sharif Vakili is the CEO of UpDoc, an Entrepreneur Advisor at Polaris Growth Management, and a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford Medicine based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He completed his internal medicine residency at Stanford after earning an MD from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and dual degrees from Yale University. Before assuming the chief executive role at UpDoc in February 2023, Vakili operated as a venture capitalist at Polaris Partners and held corporate strategy positions at biotechnology firms including Translate Bio, Arcellx, and Nkarta.
