Shane Gray is the Managing Partner of the Atlantic Bridge University Fund based in Dublin, Ireland, where he directs early-stage capital into frontier technologies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics and Applied Chemistry from Trinity College Dublin and previously served in strategic technology roles at Enterprise Ireland. Managing investments across venture funds exceeding €100 million, Gray has backed more than 20 portfolio companies, notably supporting Movidius prior to its successful acquisition by Intel. In early 2025, he led a funding round for the quantum computing startup Quantopticon and was appointed as an advisor to the European Quantum Flagship initiative. His career bridges academic physics research and institutional venture capital, culminating in his current focus on scaling European seed and Series A startups in deep tech, climate innovation, and sustainable hardware.
