Shane Chesson

Shane Chesson is a Founding Partner at Openspace Ventures based in Singapore, where he serves on the executive committee and multiple investment committees. He oversees capital allocation across four of the firm's primary vehicles, including its early stage, growth stage, Orbit, and Ocular Web3 funds. Prior to establishing Openspace, Chesson was the Managing Director and Co-Head of Technology Investment Banking for the Asia Pacific region at Citigroup. His earlier career includes strategic advisory roles at Merrill Lynch and Bain and Company, supported by an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD and dual degrees from the University of Western Australia. Additionally, he serves as Vice Chairman of the Singapore Venture and Private Capital Association and chairs the investment committee for the Aidha Accelerator. Chesson currently focuses on advancing technology and Web3 investments across the Southeast Asian venture ecosystem.
