Shamik Parekh

Shamik Parekh is a Healthtech Investor at Octopus Ventures, one of Europe's largest venture capital firms, and serves as a Board Director for early-stage healthcare companies. He began his career at a hedge fund before completing a master's degree, founding a community-focused fintech startup, and eventually creating an accelerator program at TenX Health. Following the acquisition of TenX Health by Octopus Ventures, Parekh joined the firm in November 2020 to lead digital health investments. In his current capacity, he holds board director positions at Mango Sciences and Little Journey, a child healthcare platform he joined in December 2022, while also acting as a Digital Health Mentor for Enterprise Ireland and xWave Technologies. Parekh currently focuses on backing early-stage healthtech ventures, educating investors about venture capital, and supporting diverse founders across the digital health ecosystem.
