Shai Wininger is a serial entrepreneur and the Managing Partner at Genesis Partners, a venture capital firm based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Before transitioning to venture capital, he co-founded the web design platform Wix in 2006 and served as Co-founder and CEO of Fiverr from 2010 to 2015, a marketplace that reached a $10 billion valuation following its initial public offering. At Genesis Partners, Wininger has backed over 50 early-stage technology companies, including notable investments in Riskified and the artificial intelligence startup Ema. Under his involvement in 2024, the firm raised a $200 million fund dedicated to supporting the Israeli technology ecosystem. Drawing on his background in an Israel Defense Forces intelligence unit and Reichman University, his current focus centers on seed and Series A investments across the software, fintech, and cybersecurity sectors.
