Sha Hwang is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Nava, a public benefit corporation focused on improving government digital services. Prior to establishing Nava, Hwang co-founded Movity, a location data startup that participated in Y Combinator's Winter 2010 batch before being acquired by real estate platform Trulia. Earlier in his career, he worked as a technologist at Stamen Design, specializing in complex data visualization and mapping. His broader portfolio of consulting and design work includes technical projects for prominent organizations such as the New York Times, CNN, and the Harvard Library Lab. Hwang has also presented his work on civic technology and design at industry events including the White House Datapalooza and the Eyeo Festival.
