Sergio Zuluaga

Sergio Zuluaga is a Managing Director at Velum Ventures based in Mexico City, Mexico, where he oversees early-stage technology investments across Latin America. Managing over $100 million in assets, he directs seed and Series A funding into sectors such as financial technology, enterprise software, and climate technology, building a portfolio of more than 20 companies including NotCo and Clara. In late 2024, he announced a new $50 million fund dedicated to artificial intelligence startups, and subsequently led a $15 million Series A round for a regional financial technology firm in 2025. Prior to his current position, he held investment roles at Dalus Capital and operated as an entrepreneur after earning an Economics degree from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. His current focus remains on deploying capital and strategic guidance to scale emerging market technology ventures.
