Sergio A. Escobar

Sergio A. Escobar is the Managing Director at Lalotte Ventures and BCF Ventures, an early-stage corporate venture capital fund based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. With over 25 years of operational experience in the technology sector, he previously built and scaled multiple entrepreneurial ventures across the aerospace, eCommerce, manufacturing, agricultural technology, and financial technology industries. Escobar formerly served as the Director of the Founder Institute in Montreal, drawing on his academic background with a Bachelor of Engineering degree. He was named to the Global Corporate Venturing PowerList Top 100 in 2021 and 2022, and he mentors founders through international accelerator programs including Techstars and the Creative Destruction Lab. His current venture capital investment focus centers on providing Seed and Series A funding for early-stage B2B enterprise software startups operating across the United States, Canada, and Israel.
